Results of our 2017 Property Survey
We polled over 400 buyers and sellers to get their opinion on the state of the market and their predictions for 2018
Of those polled, 72% of respondents live in London, while 73% want to buy in Kensington and Chelsea and 57% of these buyers are looking to buy an apartment as opposed to a house.
We asked, what is the most important thing they were looking for in their purchase. 38% want to buy in a gated development , 85% want secure allocated parking, while 75% felt security and concierge were the most important things.
The main reason for people to sell this year is to downsize from their existing property, whilst 52% of respondents said they would buy this year if there was flexibility on asking prices, and 36% said they would definitely buy in 2018. Which is an incredibly encouraging statistic.
When asked for their predictions for 2018, 58% of respondents felt that prices might still come down, whilst 35% felt the market would stabilize throughout the year.
